Gold Taster Expeditions

If you haven’t completed the Silver Award or if you’re not sure you’re ready for Gold expeditions, this Taster has been designed specifically for you.

In order to complete the Gold Expedition section you first need to complete a programme of training followed by sufficient practice expeditions to hone your skills and a final assessment.  Whilst this Taster expedition does not count as a full Gold Practice, it is an excellent introduction into the practical and personal skills you will need to successfully go for Gold.

I just wanted to thank your whole team for an amazing Gold expedition experience this week. I have completed both Bronze and Silver but never enjoyed the expeditions as much.

Cost breakdown

  • £135 per person per expedition.

A deposit of £90 is due when you book; the remaining balance of £45 is due 28 days before your expedition.

Walking Locations

Join our experienced and friendly instructors in the Peak District for a 3 day expedition. We will take you from tricky, Silver terrain on day 1 through to more remote, Gold wild country on day 3. By the end, you will have a good insight into the training, environment, challenge level and requirements of a Gold expedition programme.
