About A to Z Expeditions

A to Z Expeditions is a specialist Duke of Edinburgh's Award training and expedition provider.  

It is our aim to prepare, support and challenge DofE groups in order to give them the most rewarding expedition experience.

A to Z Expeditions works with groups, schools and operating authorities. We provide assistance with the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and deliver training and expeditions for groups of all sizes.  We also run a programme of Open Expeditions for individuals.

Approved Activity Provider

A to Z Expeditions are proud to be an Award Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

We are also proud of the reputation we have built for delivering high quality expeditions.  

By working closely with DofE head office and operating authorities across the country, we ensure that this high standard is maintained and that our programmes fulfil all DofE Expedition requirements.

Instructors

We have a fantastic team of experienced instructors who have led expeditions across the UK and around the world, from the Antarctic to the jungles of Borneo.  They share a love of the outdoors and have an enthusiasm to pass this on.  All our instructors have an excellent knowledge of DofE and the majority are also DofE accredited assessors.

Environmental Policy

We aim to help young people develop an awareness of environmental issues by introducing them to how beautiful and exciting the outdoors can be.

We also want to minimise the environmental impact of our business so we have taken the following steps:

  • Our office and workshop run on energy from renewable and green technologies www.greenenergy.uk.com  
  • We support local businesses and buy from UK suppliers and manufacturers where possible.
  • As far as is practical we run a paperless office.
  • Any stationary that we do use is made from recycled paper or paper from sustainable forestry.
  • We aim to reduce waste and recycle as much as possible.
  • We aim to minimise company travel.
