Robin is a freelance instructor, D of E assessor and a Mountain Leader.
Robin is a Cornishman now living in exile in Shropshire. I make my own Pastys and I deliver D of E expeditions over a wide area of the country. When I’m not out on the hill with an expedition I’m in a training room delivering First Aid skills. Simple skills, Significant outcomes.
Here are Robin's answers to our expedition questions:
What is the most memorable expedition that you have been on?
My first expedition to Costa Rica with Raleigh International in 2005 is still my favourite because I met so many fantastic people, both British and Costa Rican, I saw so many things, for real, for the first time and I experienced all that the rain forest had to offer – mostly rain! lol
If you were doing your Gold Expedition this year where would you go?
The Cordillera Real Mountains in Bolivia. Magnificent, Majestic, Awsome.
What is the one luxury item that you always take with you on an expedition?
MP3 player when I’m overseas. Those jungle nights and bus trips can be very very long.
