Rachel lives in the Cotswolds where she works as a historic buildings investigator. She also works as a freelance instructor, leading expeditions in the UK and overseas.

What is the most memorable expedition that you have been on?
Scotland. Getting off the train at Corrour in the middle of the highlands and only seeing 3 other people in 5 days. Blissfully remote!
If you were doing your Gold Expedition this year where would you go?

What is the one luxury item that you always take with you on an expedition?
Earplugs, to block out the snoring/cows/loud music when I'm trying to sleep!
