We asked Max some questions about expeditions and this is what he said:
What is the most memorable expedition that you have been on?
My most memorable exped is my first one in my early 20's with friend Andy. We went on a road trip through Wales and then Lake district. This trip started it all for me. I was introduced to the 'outdoors' - and I liked it ! I did everything wrong but Andy kept me alive ! Cheers Mate.
If you were doing your Gold Expedition this year where would you go?
I might choose Canoeing down a Polish river or across Canadian Lakes where it all started. Or walking through Peruvian Andian passes following the Inca and Quechua. ... But if I could put large hills on Gower in South Wales then I would choose there every time.
What is the one luxury item that you always take with you on an expedition?
Only one item, Wow, I always take lots. Generally anything made by Cadburys or Bassetts - e.g creme eggs or jelly babies. You'll always find me with my fav camera, sweets, ear plugs and lip balm. Narrow it down to 1 item - okay - Several pairs of my fav socks.
